I had watched my mom cut and sew this blanket during the months leading up to Christmas years ago, and was so touched and impressed when she told me she was making it to donate to a local charity. You can imagine my surprise when I unwrapped it on Christmas morning! We still laugh about this small family memory and the clever way my mom found time to make her holiday gifts right in front of us.
This sweet blanket is also a part of this project to represent my gratitude to Marie for all the experiences I’ve had working with her, and for this chance to visit a country I NEVER in my life imagined I would visit. What an unexpected and precious tie I now have to Pakistan!
