This pink-and-white-striped fuzzy blanket came from my elderly neighbors, the Tolers. At their estate auction, I purchased a large wooden truck filled with blankets, quilts, and a cigar box filled with quilt patterns and embroidery patterns that were hand-drawn. I have had these for over twenty years.
This blanket reminds me of the blankets that were piled on the living floor at Grandma and Grandpa Summers’ home in Malta Bend, Missouri. As cousins it was great fun to all pile in for a crazy night’s sleep.
