This is an old packing quilt. I think it was a bed spread at one time. In its most recent life, it was used by children for building tents over tables and chairs, often in the out of doors. Adults have used it for transport packing of precious art and household goods. I like old quilts of all kinds and the ways their use moves with their lives as it does with ours.
