This sizing catcher is used in an intaglio print studio. It is called a blanket, but these blankets are meant to be kept pristine. Each mark on this blanket represents a mistake made by a student, and a valuable lesson learned in a safe environment. Each bit of ink likely caused significant terror to the one who soiled the blanket, the terror growing less as the marks accumulated. As it is now, this blanket is useless, but is a memorial to those who learned from it in our printshop.
