This blanket was crocheted by our mother, Joan C. Blake, sometimes in the late 1950s. We are donating it in her memory (she died 12/31/2007). Joan was an art lover and a co-founder of a crafts cooperative in Berkeley, CA where we grew up. She would be proud to know her work is contributing to a work of art by someone else!
