This is a proxy blanket for two beautiful late 19th Century Hudson Bay 4-bar wool blankets. They were given to my father by a US Marine buddy in early 1920s. They came to me in 1970s and resided on my bed until I married a woman allergic to wool! They were passed on to my younger sister who still owns them (in Southern California!). They will someday go on to her sons.
