A neighbor made this quilt for us as a gift when we moved to rural Pierce county. She was lots of fun and we had great walks and talks together. The friendship was very meaningful to me, but it was not able to withstand the test of time and working closely together in a professional setting. It hurt when that happened, but ultimately, I learned from that hurt and would like to think I grew some wisdom and a greater capacity to allow others to simply be who they are and let them be separate. It does not hurt any more.
