This is a World War I army surplus blanket. My grandparents bought it to use in their beach house located on the shore of Long Island Sound in Connecticut. The blanket was used in the beach house until 1995 when the house was sold. The house was my psychological home—seems fitting that a piece of it is to be part of art.
