This blanket saved my life in October at the confluence of the Green and Colorado rivers in Canyonlands National Park. Our 14’ raft blew off the sandy beach, where it was drying, into the river just above the first rapid of Cataract Canyon. The water temperature was cold. We jumped into the river, swimming to reach the raft. By the time we got the raft to shore, I was severely hypothermic. This blanket plus a sleeping bag, and, later, hot drinks saved my life.
