My Aunt gave me this quilt top. She told me it was one my great grandmother had made when she was in her 80s. My great grandmother made beautiful quilts all her life, many that she hand-stitched and hand-quilted. But in her 80s she was using a sewing machine. She passed away before this was finished. This quilt top is around 60 years old.
My family were farmers in South Dakota, having immigrated from Norway.
